Supervised machine learning

The word "supervised" means that under the supervision of someone. So supervised machine learning is under the supervision of labeled data.

 

In supervised machine learning, we are providing the labeled data to the model for the training purpose.
When the machine learning model is trained then we are providing real-world data for predictions. So supervised machine learning required the labeled data.

Labeled data fall into two categories so that's why supervised machine learning divided into two categories.

1-Regression (If predicted o/p is continuous in nature(Numeric Value)

2-Classification (If predicted o/p is  categorical in nature(Binary Value)
